The latest developments from the world of Blockchain Finance & Regulation
#61
Happy Thursday!

Welcome on board again. So Bitcoin is halving four days from now. Previous such events caused considerable leaps in its price, but will the trend continue? Let's reconvene again in some months time to see who ended up on the winning side...

As for now, we are back at it with the latest headlines and deals, this time highlighted by AMLD5 implementation from the Netherlands, a big hire at Libra and the newest from a16z crypto.

We've also just found out that the AMLD6 could well be on its way. And it was only last week when our Willem-Jan was discussing the topic as a guest on the Compliance Adviseert Podcast. Find the episode here.

Enjoy the read!

QUOTE

“This time we really do see a big momentum behind making sure this time that they capture the momentum and that we bake into our solutions day-to-day elements but also that could help during a disruption. Post-COVID, that future state, let’s work toward and shape the outcome in a way that promotes interoperability, integrity, and inclusivity.”
