Dear Friend of Pendon,
Our main news this month is a 'virtual tour' of the Vale Scene. It is intended for public use but for this month it's for Friends to explore. More on this below.

We have had a number of complimentary emails about the first episode of Views of the Vale and thank those who wrote to us. We have started filming the next episodes and our aim is to publish new episodes every 3 months eventually covering all of the Vale.

Additions to Friends Place
This month we have the following additions:

We have revised the photographs in Unseen Gems
We have an additional building: Champs
Chapel.

Virtual Tour of the Vale Scene
This is a first step in a new direction. We have had this in mind for some time - we have a lot of supporters who are too far from Pendon to visit often and this can be another way to appreciate and enjoy the museum.  And its especially useful at this time when the museum is closed. Longer term, we think it can be a good way to prepare for a museum visit and also to continue to explore the museum after a visit.

The virtual tour is intended for public use and will be made widely available from the beginning of July. Before that, we'd very much like Friends to explore it and let us have your comments, please. We are intending to make minor improvements during June and you ideas will be very welcome.
The virtual tour is probably best viewed on a laptop computer (or a larger screen) but also works on tablets and smartphones. Clicking here will take you to the tour.

Reminders
Digital jigsaws
There have been  over 2,500 'visits' to our collection of jigsaws. We are really pleased to see that children (or maybe parents and grandparents) are the main 'users'. If you haven't tried them yet you will find jigsaws of varying difficulty, and as they are on the public website please invite your family and friends to enjoy them too.

Friends Events
We have a revised programme for the latter part of the year for which you can book places. But a word of caution, in the current circumstances we cannot be certain that we will be able to run them as planned.

Best wishes from all at Pendon and do stay safe,

Martin Ray
