CRYC Burgee
Corsica River Yacht Club

Governor Hogan and the State of MD have modified the "Stay at Home" order to allow for individual and small group sports — such as golfing and tennis, outdoor fitness instruction, recreational fishing and hunting, recreational boating and horseback riding — effective immediately.

I have read both the original Stay at Home order and yesterday's modification.
The Yacht Club technically falls into Para V. f. Other Recreational Establishments., specifically sub para. i. 7. social and fraternal clubs
Therefore the Club pavilion and heads need to remain closed.
However, the "marina" portion of the club (dock and beach launching area) fall under para V. f. iii and is now available for use.
In short- feel free to walk the club grounds, including kayaking for exercise and use the dock for boating subject to the following:
1. When entering, lock the gate behind you and again when leaving - everyone who should have the combo does have the combo
2. Maintain social distancing on the club grounds
3. Do not gather on the dock
4. Wear masks as appropriate when not on a boat, and the only people going out on a boat together — no more than 10 — should be “housemates on land.”
5. Provide your own wipes and sanitize the common touch points (i.e. gate lock, hoist control)

Just give an extra thought to how your activities may impact others.

See you on the water (eventually)
Mike Hollis
Commodore
