Blimey! It's Pirate "i" The Guy

All Hands on Deck!

Yo Ho Ho Matey's! This activity is something the entire family can do this weekend. Gather up the crew, weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen! That's fancy pirate speak for let's get this ship sailing!
Pillage the craft cabinet in ye house, here is what ye need:

Construction paper
Markers, colored pencils, crayons or paint
Something to bury as your treasure (be sure it's ok with your parents)

To begin this activity you'll want to create a pirate holding a treasure map just like the example below. Get creative with your pirate!

Next, it's time to bury your treasure! Find an item, with your parents permission, to hide. Draw clues along the way.
Now, let's add in the fun part. Document your journey as a pirate in your journal.

What is your pirate name?
What is the name of your ship?
Who is your buccaneer (sidekick)?
Where did your journey to find the buried treasure lead you?
What problem(s) did you have?
