During good times and difficult times, our church has always responded with generosity. Thank you for being a church that reshapes the community and rebuilds lives by financially supporting our community in times of need. Today, we are inviting you to respond generously as we support those impacted by COVID-19. Giving Tuesday is normally during the Christmas holiday season, but Giving Tuesday Now was created to answer the call of the enormous need caused by COVID-19. Please prayerfully consider how you can give to support those who are facing unexpected obstacles and financial challenges.
Vonnelle Middleton, Director of Congregational Care, will be retiring from St. James and moving to Florida at the end of June. We want to thank her for her service. We are a stronger congregation as a result of her time with us. To support the ongoing work of congregational care, Elmer Cunningham is being appointed as Associate Pastor of Congregational Care. He will be working with the Congregational Care Team to continue Dr. Middleton's excellent work. Pastor Danielle Quinn's role will be changing as she will be commissioned this Summer and entering into the Missouri Conference Fellows Program. She will take on the new responsibility of Pastor of Spiritual Formation effective June 28, 2020.
