Bogor and Balikpapan plan for climate resilience strategies upon validation of climate risks and vulnerabilities

ICLEI Southeast Asia Secretariat (ICLEI SEAS), in partnership with the City Government of Bogor and Balikpapan, conducted validation workshops for the climate risk and vulnerability assessments (CRVA) on 18 February 2020 at Santika Hotel-Botani Square in Bogor City and on 5 March 2020 at Platinum Hotel & Convention Hall in Balikpapan City.

Three Philippine cities emerge as national finalists in WWF’s One Planet City Challenge
The Philippine cities of Batangas, Muntinlupa, and Santa Rosa have been selected as national finalists in this year’s World Wide Fund for Nature’s (WWF) One Planet City Challenge (OPCC). Over 250 cities from around the globe, including 13 from the Philippines, joined the OPCC’s 2020 leg.

Urban-LEDS II conducts GHG emissions inventory and climate risk vulnerability assessment for Lao cities

In line with the conduct of greenhouse gas emissions inventory (GHGi) and climate risk and vulnerability assessment (CRVA) in Urban-LEDS II project cities, Pakse and Kaysone Phomvihane, a series of focus group meetings for data collection was held from 20-24 January 2020. The meetings were attended by more than 50 participants, with representatives from relevant government ministries and agencies, the provinces of Savannakhet and Champasak, and participating cities.
