NEW WAY OF REPORTING  We will report out our COVID-19 numbers in the manner of a math equation to give our community a better understanding of how the cases are broken down. We will also provide the total amount of cases that we are currently monitoring along with the number of those who have completed monitoring and are out of isolation/quarantine. Sometimes you may question why our numbers fluctuate. The Health District aims to provide real-time data to the public, but a drawback to real-time data is that during disease investigations numbers can change for a variety of reasons. Some reasons include a change in jurisdiction or a probable case becoming a non-case after testing negative. When we get negative lab results, we reclassify them to "not a case" and subtract them from any other category they were also in, like “recovered”.
**Portions of Delaware County are annexed to Columbus Public Health and Franklin County Public Health based on tax jurisdiction, including Dublin, Washington Township, Columbus and Westerville. If a resident would test positive for COVID-19 in one of those jurisdictions, then the public health department in Columbus or Franklin County would handle that case, even if they reside in Delaware County.

BACK IN BUSINESS  Effective Monday, May 11, the Health District will open to the public under a “soft” opening. However, the front door of 1 West Winter will remain locked. Each division will take appointments for clients to come in for a consultation, drop off/pickup documents, etc. Appointments will be set up with consideration to social distancing and minimal exposure to staff.

As businesses start to open in Delaware County, we have provided signs below for agencies to use as a reminder for customers and clients to adhere to the Stay Safe Order.

However, under Section 4 of the Stay Safe Order, such activities are prohibited at this point in time: Graduation Party Letter of Guidance
