It will be unseasonably cold over the next two nights.

If you have recently purchased tender plant material such as any tropicals, annuals, herbs, veggies, shrubs like hydrangeas in full leaf or roses with buds, we urge you to take precaution to protect them from a potential frost. Some plants will show the effects even when temperatures stay above freezing in the mid 30’s.

If you haven’t planted the plants yet, simply put them in your garage our indoors during the next two nights.  If you have planted them, you can wrap them with anything you have available such as sheets, plastic or burlap.  Even the few degrees of temperature change can make a difference.

If you are not able to protect plants, please realize that most plants will recover quickly and will only show blemished growth for a week or two.  You can pinch back any damaged tissue and plants will generally respond to the upcoming warm weather.

We do look forward to a warmer weather pattern by next weekend!
