How to keep implicit biases from impacting choices made during times of stress - Life at OSU - "One thing I think is really important for us to keep in mind as a professional community is the impact of the implicit biases we carry. We are all facing alarming and unprecedented vulnerable decision points in which research shows our implicit bias can most easily be validated as invisibly over-ruling our explicit beliefs and intentions."

Remotely hands-on - Inside Higher Ed - Teaching lab sciences and the fine arts during COVID-19

Lab work under isolation - Tomorrow's Professor - "Not being able to do lab work means we cannot make much progress on any of our experimental projects. This doesn’t mean we cannot get any work done, though. I share our experiences here with the hope that they may be useful to other researchers during the current shutdown, or in planning for the possibility of future disruptions."

Tope Mitchell on her career transitions from sociology graduate student to corporate insights director to tech founder (PODCAST) - Gradschooled with Fatimah Williamns, Ph.D. - "Her curiosity for applied sociology combined with her relentless desire to create a more inclusive world for her young daughter led her to a $30K startup award and a new career in record-breaking time."

How to retain women of color and indigenous women grad students - Inside Higher Ed - "Kimberly D. McKee and Denise A. Delgado highlight three crucial components that can help such students not only survive but also thrive at their institutions."

Remote teaching while introverted - The Chronicle of Higher Education - "Remote instruction is not an introvert’s paradise."
