Dear SBMT Community,


Happy Mother’s Day! Usually footy on the Mother’s Day weekend gives all the mums in our St Bedes/Mentone Tigers community the opportunity to catch up with each other and share the solidarity of being Tiger mums all cheering our kids on together. 

Celebrating our mothers at SBMT is an important focus for the club, and is highlighted with the fabulous work of our Women of SBMT group. We also have senior women’s player Ina who has just become a mum for the second time and many other mums working hard through committees and as coaches! We thank all of these fabulous women for their hard work and dedication to our wonderful club.


Return to footy
It is still not clear when and how the return to football will happen, but it is hoped the news is not far away! The Victorian Premier will make a statement on Monday and through next week there will be meetings of the various leagues, followed by our SBMT Board and also our senior and junior committees meeting to navigate the way to get our Tigers back on the grounds. 

It has been terrific to see how connected our teams have stayed through this COVID-19 time, with some teams holding zoom chats, and coaches posting challenges for players. It will be wonderful when we can safely return to football and hear our Tiger’s song. Hear is a little clip of our 2019 U17s in full voice to help get us through until we can all be back together!
