Matais Torres from the Eugene Public Library will walk us through setting up an account, show us some of the available options and answer your questions.
The library has extensive catalog of classic and popular music, movies from Kanopy and Hoopla,and e-magazines from the Economist to Consumer Reports to US magazine. Newspapers include the Register Guard, Oregonian, Washington Post, and the New York Times. And of course there are their online books. Lane County applies to "open up" starting May 15. Jason Davis, Lane County Public Information Officer, will report and answer questions. He will bring us up to date on the County's application to begin Phase I of reopening businesses as early as next Friday (5/15). He will discuss which businesses will be involved under what conditions. He will also share the current status of COVID-19 cases in the County and finally will share the status of starting up the River Avenue center for homeless individuals with COVID-19 symptoms or in post-hospitalization recovery.
