I’m hoping this finds everyone at Spirit of Joy in good spirits and staying safe and healthy. We hope you are able to take advantage of all the opportunities provided for your Spiritual nourishment and reflection. Each week we come into your homes with live stream worship on Sundays at 9am. Listed in this newsletter are opportunities for devotions, music, and home groups. We are also asking you to join us for Monday morning 8am, Cafe SOJ.... coffee and Bible Study via Zoom. Part of last Sunday’s worship we introduced our gorilla friend who will join us for children’s messages. He needs a name. Please call in at 760-788-7456 and leave a message with your name, and your suggested new name for our friend.
Our youth under, Nick Stemper’s direction, is providing the Open Door Meals this week for those less fortunate in our community. Thank you to Nick and our wonderful youth ministry.
We continue to monitor information on church openings and will be meeting as church council in a week. We will be looking for ways to open in the future, with everyone’s safety in mind. In the meantime, see you in virtual worship!

Just a reminder about our Capital Funding Campaign. Please remember our goal was to raise $150,000 by May 3.
Between March 1 and May 7, we have raised $48,200.80.
