I haven’t been myself in awhile now. I’ve been feeling that way for a little while, but it really struck me just a few minutes ago. This feeling predates quarantine, so I don’t know that I can blame it on a virus. I think I fell off my game in a big way last year, right around the time my mom died. Once upon a time, I was a productivity monster, not just when it came to writing, but with everything. I was always on the go, always accomplishing something, always kicking ass and taking names. And I loved it. I was happier when I was knocking tasks off the list, getting things done, improving. Lately, I just feel... lazy. And I know there’s nothing wrong with that. Hell, if there’s ever been a time when it is all right to just chill, it’s now. For me, though, it’s just gone on too long. And if I’m unhappy because I’m doing nothing, then I better start doing something! So, I’m kicking the rust off and getting back on my game. Hopefully, you’ll notice the change. Hopefully, we’ll both like it.

Here’s something cool that’s been in the works for a while.
My pal Blacky Shepherd and I have been working on a new comic for Dynamite. REANIMATOR: THE ETERNAL LIE is a crazy-as-Hell direct sequel to the original Lovecraft story of Herbert West! It is a shocking new story of life, death, undeath, and cosmic terror.
Dynamite will be crowdfunding the first volume of the book through Indiegogo. While the project isn’t live yet, they have set up a landing page where you can watch a video about the project, see some of Blacky’s awesome artwork, and sign up for updates.

Reading - THE DAMNATION GAME by Clive Barker. I’ve read it before, but it’s been so long I remember very little of it.
Watching - I just watched VFW, which a great deal of fun in an ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 kind of way. I loved it.
Playing - Not much this week, really... kind of in a lull.
Listening To - Listened to a bit of the Olympians this week.
Drinking - Long Island Iced Tea.
