News from the Library
Kindergarten
– Enjoy A Piglet Named Mercy by Kate DiCamillo.  This is the prequel for Ms. DiCamillo’s well know series about Mercy the Pig.  This is available on YouTube or for purchase at Amazon.

1st Grade – Read/listen to The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf on YouTube or from Amazon.  This is a very old story (1936!) but shows that “Old can still be Good!”  If you are able, watch the movie (2017).  It has been available on TV on FXMHD.  Compare the original story with the movie.  You will find a huge difference.  Do you know anyone like Ferdinand?

2nd Grade – All of these are available on YouTube and at Amazon.

  • Dory Fantasmagory Abby Hanlon
  • Like Pickle Juice on a Cookie by Julie Sternberg
  • Cam Jansen by David Adler

3rd Grade –  All of these books are available at the Public Library in downloadable ebook.

  • Doll People by Ann M. Martin
  • Trouble with Chickens by Doreen Cronin
  • The Report Card by Andrew Clements
