The Corona Virus Pandemic has greatly affected the way we do business globally.  Many countries have imposed lock downs and Curfews greatly limiting movement and in almost every country large gathering have been totally suspended greatly impacting on the way we do business.  The new normal now is work from home. While this is the new reality, the global Fund still upholds meaningful engagement of communities in the fund request processes.
Fund request processes for countries going on for window 2 and 3 submissions are well on course.  The big question is how civil society and community groups are meaningfully engaged amidst movement restrictions due to COVID-19.

Global Fund has introduced timing flexibilities for Funding Requests submission for window one and two.  The updated submission dates which are now published on the Global Fund website are as follows:

Window 2 submission dates:
Window 2a: 30 April
Window 2b: 31 May
Window 2c: 30 June

Window 3 submission dates:
Window 3a: 31 July
Window 3b: 31 Aug
As countries prepare to submit in the above periods, EANNASO as the host of the GF CRG Coordination and Communication platform for Anglophone Africa brings you a second series of webinar - Civil Society and Community Groups Meaningful Engagement during Window 2 Fund Request Submission - to share experience and lessons learnt from CS and CG engagement in country dialogue processes to the GFATM Funding Request development.
