While The Clay Studio staff works from home, we get to explore each other's mug collections. A lot has changed recently, but our love of all things clay hasn't!
SEVENTH EDITION: Claymobile to Go! New Virtual options from the Claymobile.

Our studios might be closed to the public, but our staff is busy working from home to develop new virtual programming delivered straight to your living room. We now offer "Clay" Kits to Go, Workshops to Go, and Weekly Residencies to Go for our Claymobile partners. In addition, we've partnered with Pop Up Play to offer virtual birthday parties! Our teaching artists released a series Clay at Home Tutorials on YouTube and our Curator of Artistic Programs does a weekly Lunch and Learn conversation series. And, virtual classes have also launched for adults and youth! Many things have changed in the past two months, but our love of sharing clay with you isn't one of them.

Spotlight: Claymobile to Go!
We miss working with our partners in your classrooms, but hope that our virtual options might allow us to connect while staying home. Below we've outlined 3 options for bringing Claymobile to your students at home. So far we've partnered with Education Works to do a weekly online series with their after-school programs and 11th St Family Health Services to deliver our "Clay" Kits to Go. If none of these options feel like the right fit, we're also happy to talk about customized options for your group! You can also view these options on the Claymobile page of our website.

"Clay" Kits to Go: Our "Clay Kits to Go" are available for pick up or mail. Each kit includes air dry clay, paint, brushes, and an activity sheet which includes a sketching activity and step-by-step project instructions. A YouTube video demonstrating how to use the kit will also be provided. Kits are available at $7 per person for pick ups or one-location drop off, or $10 per person for mailing.

Workshops to Go: For our "Workshops to Go," students can borrow a clay tool kit and clay for an at-home Claymobile lesson. Students will meet for a virtual class with a Teaching Artist who will lead them step-by-step through the lesson. All tool kits and projects will be returned to The Clay Studio. Fired projects will be delivered to the sites, or made available for pick up, within 2 weeks. A video recording of the class will also be provided. $200 per session for up to 20 kits. Additional kits will be $10/kit (maximum of 30 participants per session).

Weekly Residencies to Go: "Weekly Residencies to Go" can range from 2 to 6 weeks in length. Each week will include a different crafting lesson. Session materials can be mailed to participants, picked up from The Clay Studio, or dropped off to a central location for participant pick up. Each weekly session includes a virtual lesson with a Teaching Artists who will walk participants step-by-step through the project. A video recording of the class will also be provided. $200 per session for up to 20 kits. Additional kits will be $10/kit (maximum of 30 participants per session).
