These are difficult times for many of us. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought global society to a standstill for almost two months, pushing domestic unemployment above 30 million and leaving even the most hopeful in a state of deep unease. Many of you are intimately aware of how this profound disruption has affected young people, who amidst the worries of the moment are now also obliged to learn new ways to learn.
The Pulitzer Center K-12 education team is doing everything we can to support these urgent needs. We have rolled out a host of exciting student and teacher-facing webinars featuring our journalist grantees and education staff, developed innovative new education programs that can be done at home, and converted many of our lessons to fit the constraints of home learning and social distancing.
