Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser Argues Before the Supreme Court Next Week

Attorney General Phil Weiser will be arguing by teleconference before the United States Supreme Court in a case called Colorado Department of State v Baca. This is an historic event because the Supreme Court has never before permitted the public to listen in to live audio broadcasts of oral arguments.
The case, which has been referred to as the “Faithless Electors” case, deals with the very important question of whether Colorado can enforce laws permitting removal of Electoral College members who do not cast their Electoral College votes in presidential elections in conformance with the state’s popular vote totals.
