Hi <<First Name>>,

Are you ready for the mental health challenges that are coming down the track for employers?

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and at Robertson Cooper we’ve been taking some time to reflect on where the world is when it comes to mental health and wellbeing after several weeks of rapid change and disruption.

The full picture of the impact on our mental health and wellbeing is not yet clear, but data from the ONS has already revealed that mental health and wellbeing is being seriously impacted by what has happened so far and uncertainty about what lies ahead. Indeed, wellbeing is the number one concern for people in the UK right now, while anxiety is reported to be at a critical level.

In line with these early (and worrying) indicators, we continue to provide our client resources to employers everywhere to help you support mental health and wellbeing. Something new this week comes from
our Founding Director, Professor Ivan Robertson, delivering a webinar in association with Workplace Wellbeing Show’s digital week. In it Ivan draws on the wellbeing science to identify the fundamental priorities and concepts for organisations to consider as we start to get back to a very different world of work and process the need to adapt our mental health and wellbeing approaches in response.

As a reminder, we have provided a number of free resources that you can use with your colleagues throughout this period of uncertainty.

Highlights of our resource library include:

Setting yourself up for wellbeing with a deep dive into your Social Health

How to reset the purpose in your work and take control of your workload in these exceptional circumstances

How to build strength and resilience so you are as ready as you can be for the current and future emotional strain

We sincerely hope you find these tools and guides useful. If your organisation is ready to start planning for how to maintain wellbeing in your workforce now and in the future, we have a range of flexible ways to support you and your employees. These include taking a measure of current employee wellbeing levels, redesigning your strategic approach for the new world and a host of virtual training sessions around vital topics such as resilience and energy.

Please do drop me a note if you would like an informal chat.

Best wishes, Julie
