While much of the world paused, our work at SPUR continues to meet tangible needs in our local communities. Since the beginning of the year, we have accrued nearly 850 volunteer hours, with 500 clocked in just the past two months! We have provided meals to shelters, delivered groceries to vulnerable neighbors, called and checked in on the isolated. We have created a virtual community which offers mindfulness sessions, sewing groups, and other thematic offerings. Through SPUR, nearly 600 hand-made masks have now been created and distributed to nursing homes, home health aids, at-risk community members and seeds have been planted which will soon start to yield organic produce for those facing food insecurity.
In a time of uncertainty, SPUR stands firm in our commitment to mobilize volunteers and meet pressing community needs. Please support our efforts.
DOUBLE your gift! We are thrilled to share that Marblehead Bank and the SPUR team have pledged to match every gift, dollar-for-dollar up to $7,000 through midnight tonight.
