Greetings!

We hope this newsletter finds you and your family well. Much like our member institutions, the NHCUC has transitioned to the virtual world this spring. We continue to be a voice within higher education advocating support for our colleges and universities amidst the pandemic.

While this certainly is a challenging time, we are extremely proud of our member campuses for their tireless effort within their communities. Stories range from opening up campuses for hospital overflow, providing meals to students and families, developing PPE's for healthcare workers, and the list goes on and on.

We congratulate all students for persevering through these challenging times, especially this year's graduating class of 2020.

We wish everyone the best.  Be well!

A Virtual Spring

Amidst the stay at home order and social distancing, NHCUC programming and advocacy transitioned to virtual strategies.

The 3rd Annual Higher Education Summit was presented via Zoom webinars by Robert King, Assistant Secretary for Post Secondary Education, USDOE, and Lauren Walizer, Senior Policy Analyst, Center for Law and Social Policy.

We will recognize our largest class of New Hampshire Scholars this June. The Class of 2020 proudly honors 5,599 high school seniors who have accepted the challenge of the rigorous curriculum.

Both the statewide and Manchester GEAR UP projects continue to provide services to under served New Hampshire communities through a variety of strategies including student academic support and professional development.

Public awareness campaigns through partnerships with WMUR and WKXL promote New Hampshire as a study destination, both pre-and post-pandemic.  Highlighting positive responses from member institutions through media outlets and social media have been successful. Check out some of the news stories and radio segments below.
