COVID-19 has changed day-to-day life all around the world, but one thing we know is that this year over 75 children will be diagnosed with cancer at CHEO. We need to be ready to care for these young patients and their families.  

This past Sunday would have been the CN Cycle for CHEO and while we were so sorry to make the difficult, but necessary, decision not to have a live event, our work for oncology care and research remains a priority. In order to fulfill our commitment to cancer patients at CHEO, the CN Cycle for CHEO has been transformed into a virtual fundraiser.  

The face of cancer care at CHEO is beautifully represented by the 2020 McDonald’s Dream Team. Emma, Aidan and Izel have faced the harsh realities of diagnosis and treatment. They have handled this incredibly difficult situation with grace and courage. We are proud that they chose to be ambassadors for CHEO and you can hear them tell you in their own words why your support is so important. 

If you are able we kindly ask you to fundraise, donate or purchase the exclusive 2020 CN Cycle for CHEO clothing. Donations made between now and June 7 will be matched up to $80,000 thanks to generous sponsors, and the total will be announced during the live CHEO Telethon broadcast Sunday, June 7 on CTV Ottawa.
