Online Course starting May 14th

Spending more time at home due to the corona virus is a great opportunity to deepen your learning! And is learning about how you can contribute to the changes we must make, not a great, perhaps even neccesary, thing you can do right now? It is "now or never time", says Neale Donald Walsh.
So sign-up now!

The course will start on the 14th of May. It's an Introduction to Nonviolence, following the recently published Engaging Nonviolence Study Guide.

It will be an 8 week long course through zoom, every Thursday at 19:00 CET. Each session will be about one hour, sometimes a bit more. (*note: if there will be less than 6 people the course will be shortened, not cancelled).

I promise you that it will be engaging, interactive, sharing essential elements of the books and also tweaked a bit to your learning needs. So what are you waiting for?!

Payments can be made on a sliding scale from €75 to €100, depending on your financial means as you see it. There are only 8 places. You can sign-up through the registration form, until the 11th of May.

Please note that it is a requirement to buy the Study Guide and make the payment at least 4 days in advance.

Residential Training Courses in Greece and The Netherlands

Short update: The pre-liminary dates for the training course in Greece are July 4-12 (including travel dates). This will be confirmed by the 15th of May. In the mean time, the application form is now online.

The training course  for youth workers in Greece is called "Embracing Conflict and Diversity". The title of this training reflects the core concepts and key competences: embracing conflict means to acknowledge conflict (instead of avoiding) and engaging in a conflict-solving process in which people gain mutual understanding and thus come closer together. Embracing diversity involves acknowledging differences and supporting mutual respect and understanding through dialogue and communication.
The aim of of this training course is to improve practices of dealing with conflict and diversity in youth work in Europe, by offering youth workers relevant knowledge, exercises and tools and exchange best-practices.
Youth workers that work with youth from culturally diverse backgrounds from or residing in Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Spain are elegible to apply.

More information will follow in the coming weeks on the website, so check it regularly if you're interested!

The second training will take place in The Netherlands (original dates 2nd of August to the 8th). The title is: "Connecting the dots: nonviolent action for our planet, each other and ourselves." The aim of this training course is to provide youth workers with knowledge, skills and a holistic framework to activate and empower youth to contribute to a sustainable peaceful culture. The framework is based on three elements: inner peace, peaceful relations and a  culture of peace.
Youth workers from or residing in Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Spain and Italy are elegible to apply. Again: take a look at the website for more information when the date is more near.
