Coastal Roots Farm has been on the front lines.
Before the pandemic, 1 in 4 surveyed Coastal Roots Farm Stand customers did not have enough to eat, and 40% could not easily afford fresh food. Around 70% of them shared that the crisis has impacted their employment or income.
Nearly half of Farm Stand customers rely on our pay-what-you-can system.
Our team expects this need will increase due widespread economic hardship.
We donate up to $2,000 of produce at no cost each day we are open.
