Student guidance for alternative assessments

The TEL team have put together a page on the CLT Hub which provides links to resources for students to help with preparing and submitting alternative assessments. These include: Moodle submissions, submitting a video or annotated PowerPoint via Re:View (Panopto) and/or Teams, and a variety of other sources of information. Click on the Hub page to read the guidance.

TEL Community of Practice

It's great to see so many colleagues joining the TEL Community of Practice team and hearing about their online teaching experiences. Topics that have been discussed recently range from how to make webinars and online meetings more inclusive to using live captions in Teams, and recording and editing your online meetings. The TEL CoP now also has a wonderful new icon (see above pic) thanks to the work of our TEL placement student Jordan Madge!

Resources for online teaching and learning

The CLT Hub offers advice for staff to continue to deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials online. Please click here to access guidance and resources and  online assessment options during the COVID-19 disruption.

Education Awards go online!

As I’m sure you'll be aware, we are sadly unable to hold our Education Awards event in person this year due to the current Covid-19 situation. Despite this, it’s still extremely important to highlight the incredible achievements of the University of Bath community and for this reason we are celebrating online.

Please do join us on Friday 15th May as we present the Education Awards online celebration from 17:00 (BST). The event will be screened on Facebook and available to watch afterwards on the SU Education Awards 2020 webpage.

Ahead of the main event, we'll be announcing our shortlisted nominees for each of the University Teaching Awards on the CLT blog from midday on Thursday 14th May.
