Your UDL Journey

In Your UDL Journey: A Systems Approach to Transforming Instruction, co-authors Patti Kelly Ralabate and Elizabeth Berquist draw on their years of experience to provide a guide for adopting UDL as the conceptual framework for an entire system — not just individual classrooms. Warm and collegial, UDL Journey addresses challenges in learning design, instructional planning, professional development, resource allocation and reflection.

Middle school ELA teachers, we need you

Earn your UDL Credential this summer

As part of earning the UDL Level 2 credential, discuss how the design of a real-world scenario anticipated variability and reduced barriers. Use the UDL Knowledge Statements and the UDL Guidelines as resources to discuss how the intentional design for learning can meet the needs of all learners.

Become an AEM State

The AEM Center at CAST is seeking five states to create a national AEM Cohort. If selected, your team will receive individualized support and coaching from the AEM Center’s team of Technical Assistance Specialists over a four-year partnership. Together, we’ll implement high leverage and evidence-based practices for building statewide and local systems for the timely provision and effective use of accessible materials and accessible technologies for all learners who need them. State applications are due Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Are you supporting students with additional needs in remote learning environments?

Benetech, Bridge Multimedia and CAST are joining forces to bring you an "unconference" with support from the Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs and the Institute of Education Sciences. Throughout the day participants will have the chance to experience lightning presentations and panel discussions from field experts on how to support students with additional needs as they navigate distance learning and take on summer vacation in these turbulent times. If you are a student, parent or teacher, then this unconference is for you.
