Silent Auction at Chicago Master Singers Benefit Features Unique Items and Experiences
The silent auction is always a popular part of Chicago Master Singers’ annual Benefit Gala and this year’s event will be no exception. The auction will open for viewing starting at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 13. Bidding will be open all day on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The Gala event itself will begin at 7:00 pm on May 16 and it will all be online. Guest can enjoy the festivities and bid on exciting items in the silent auction from the comfort of their own homes.
Tickets to the event are free, but you must register in advance to take part. When you register, be sure to enter your credit card information to make silent auction purchases and donations easy on the day of the event. Your card will not be charged unless you buy something or make a donation.
Why not register now on our secure GiveSmart site? Then you will be ready to browse the silent auction items as early as next Wednesday, and bid on your favorite items and take part in the Benefit Gala event on Saturday May 16.
Unique and exciting experiences will be on offer in the silent auction. Enjoy a sailboat outing on Lake Michigan or a private recital by pianist Lyudmila Lakisova and cellist Marina Hoover.
Michelle Areyzaga, a renowned soprano who is well known to CMS audiences as a featured soloist in many of our concerts, is offering a private recital to silent-auction bidders as well.
Other fun experiences include tickets to plays, operas, musical theatre and more, as well as tastings of wine, bourbon and gin. Restaurant gift cards will also be available, covering Italian, Asian, pub food, desserts and other cuisines.
Unique works of art and home décor items will also be featured, including an original painting by Judy Reilly and stained-glass artwork by Peter Larson. These talented artists are also CMS singers. An elegant gray pearl pendant and matching earrings, designer handbag and stylish wristwatch are just some of the accessories that will be offered in the silent auction.
All of the items have been donated and the silent auction proceeds will provide crucial financial support to Chicago Master Singers. This is a fun way to support the chorus. Guests will also have the opportunity to donate to the CMS Memorial Fund during this first-ever online CMS Benefit Gala.
