A video message about our plan to regather.

REGATHERING PLAN

Dear Church Family,

Due to the current restrictions, we are limited to a maximum gathering of 80 people, with precautions in place and still practicing social distancing. We want to continue following the health recommendations of our state and local leaders for the health of our church family and our community. We understand that these restrictions are subject to change and we will continue to monitor the situation and communicate as we move forward.

Here is our plan for the rest of May:

Our Sunday morning sermon will continue to be available on our website and broadcasted on Facebook.

Starting this Sunday we are scheduling two separate gathering times during the week: Sunday evening from 5:00-6:00 and Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00.
  • Due to the current occupancy restrictions we aren’t able to all gather for regular church services nor are we able to do in-person small groups. Two gathering times at church allows any and all of our people to connect in-person with enough space for social distancing.
  • These Sunday and Thursday gathering times will be different than our typical Sunday morning service. We will enjoy a more informal atmosphere and spend our time in fellowship, encouragement, worship, a devotional, and prayer.
  • Please sign up here for these gathering times so we are able to make adjustments if we exceed our max capacity.
Precautionary changes for our in-person gathering:
  • Only the auditorium will be open along with the two main bathrooms off the foyer.
  • Please bring your own water bottle as the drinking fountain will not be accessible.
  • We ask everyone to practice social distancing including no handshakes or hugs and remaining 6 feet away from others.
    • We can still greet each other with a smile :)
    • Wearing a facemask is not mandatory but you can if you want.Special attention will be needed in keeping our children from mingling.
    • No in-person Life Groups, youth group, or Team KID at this time.
  • The Nursery and Children's Wing will be closed.
  • Celebrating communion together will be postponed until a later date.
  • We are taking extra precautions to sanitize our facility before and after these gathering times. There will also be hand sanitizer and wipes available.
  • Reminder, we all want to be extra cautious so if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms, please stay at home. If you don’t have symptoms we look forward to you gathering with us!
A recent article highlights the importance of how we respond to each other as we consider regathering. Recognizing that each of us are different, here are four attitudes for COVID-19 recovery that will strengthen our ability to navigate differing views and approaches:
  1. Optimistic people are a blessing to my life. It keeps me hopeful about the future and enables me to embrace uncertainty as opportunity.
  2. Cautious people are a blessing to my life. It keeps me sensitive to the needs and concerns of others and enables me to make prudent decisions.
  3. Different gifts and approaches make us all more effective. Pride demands that everyone do things the way we demand. Read 1 Corinthians 12 and celebrate different gifts.
  4. People matter more than my opinion. Being in healthy relationships with people is a privilege that requires me to love others above myself. When I am highly opinionated, I can needlessly hurt others.  (Read full article here).
Everything will feel a little different for a while, but we are going to continue to love God, love each other, and reach the world with the Gospel. If you, or anyone you know, has any need please don’t hesitate to let us know. We want to love and support you during this time.

In Christ,
