We're so excited to announce our next @futureofwomen IG Live!

Tomorrow, join us for a conversation with Juliana Di Simone of tokyobike, an independent bicycle company founded in 2002 in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka, Japan.

Over the past two years, FUTURE OF WOMEN has had the privilege of hosting breakfasts with talented chefs, musicians, designers, athletes, journalists, filmmakers, activists, and architects around the world, from Tokyo to Los Angeles to Mexico City.

NOW, WE'RE TRAVELING AROUND THE WORLD (VIRTUALLY!)
TO COOK, DANCE, DESIGN, AND LEARN WITH THEM!

Tomorrow, FUTURE OF WOMEN founder Hallie Applebaum and tokyobike director Juliana Di Simone will talk about reimagining urban mobility in this new era and beyond.

As our lives have taken on a different pace in the name of global and community health, the tokyobike team has been slowing down, and reflecting and refocusing its energies on family and community. Out of this chaos, they are finding comfort in positivity, creativity, and the beauty around us.

To encourage their community to slow down as well, tokyobike launched an initiative called The Slow Down Series, returning to their roots and exploring the concept upon which tokyobike was founded: Tokyo Slow, the idea that more reward lies in the journey rather than the destination. What the world is going through right now is part of that journey and tokyobike hopes it can contribute to finding moments of peace in the turbulence.

The tokyobike community spreads across Tokyo, London, Berlin, Milan, Melbourne, Bangkok, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. As people slow down and as public transport agencies reduce services, the tokyobike team has seen a rise in cycling globally. Hallie and Juliana will talk about cities around the world that are taking steps to make their roads more bicycle-friendly.

Hope to see you on Friday at 10am PST / 1pm EST!

We wish you and your loved ones good health and safety during these difficult and uncertain times. We'll all get through this, together.
Let's stay in touch.
