Immersion Course: Upper Body

Feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders? Rest your texting fingers, step away from your computer and melt your frozen shoulders. In this workshop with Emma Silverman we'll focus on bringing warm energy to your upper body, learn to create space in the shoulder girdle, relieve tension in the neck and head, work to increase shoulder mobility and build strength.

Mother's Day Mini Retreat

Join Nichole Ferrigno for a Mother's Day Mini Retreat. We’ll move through an all-levels flow class, release in restorative postures, and end with a discussion on simple, quick self-care practices you can incorporate to help you recover and recharge.  All are welcome including moms-to-be, moms to fur babies and students who want to practice with their mom.

When you google "body core" you'll find lots of photos of muscles that are on the front, back and sides of the torso and even above your chest and below your belly button. In this workshop we'll explore where and what your core is, how it supports your body's everyday movements and how you can strengthen it to maintain mobility, flexibility and yes, a touch of good physique. Join Jenna Grubman to find out how below the surface, your core can be your best asset.

Immersion Course: Lower Body

Running more than usual lately? Hips aching when you sit at your at-home desk? Join Meagan Estep for an afternoon all about your hips, legs, ankles, and feet. This workshop will focus on building strength and improving mobility in the lower body to help you with everyday movements—like bending and squatting—and to add to your yoga practice, from forward bends and backbends to twists and arm balances.

Remember: When you check in for these classes you'll see your teacher and they'll see you. When you sign up, everyone in your home, including fur babies and kids, are welcome. And you don't have to live in DC to sign up. This is a great way to connect with out-of-town family and friends.

Support Past Tense Teachers Directly

Many of our team members are full-time teachers who have just lost a significant amount of income or are hourly workers who are now at risk. While we are working together to support one another, you are welcome to donate directly to PT team members here. None of this will go to the studio. It will go to teachers and staff in need.
