CLS Celebrates Graduates

The Department acknowledges and celebrates those students graduating with a major or minor in Chicano and Latino Studies.

We are saddened that students and families will not have a more traditional ceremony in the presence of others to celebrate and bear witness, but we honor the hard work, perserverance and sacrifices made to realize this achievement.

Keeping resources all in one place

We have been working on a resource list.  It includes sections for students, families, economic resources like unemployment, info on food, housing and well being.  The idea is to have a place for you to compile your important information, particularly as it applies to our lives in the current COVID-19 context. We hope it is useful to you.  Download it and make it your own, add to it, etc.  It is a work in progress and we continue to add more links and opportunities.

The US Census 2020 will have far reaching consequences for the next decade, and it is of utmost importance that we are all counted. Outreach en persona, has been significantly impacted by COVID-19, so please spread the word, encourage others to be counted. Below is a map which shows MPLS neighborhoods and percentage of households reporting.

Click on an area to see the percentage of households who have responded to the census so far. Each area is a census tract. Click on the right arrow at top of the pop-up window to see how the current return rate compares to the final return rate in that area in 2010.
