Mobile CSP Updates & Refresher PD for
Summer 2020

This is for teachers who successfully completed the Mobile CSP PD in 2019 or before. This PD is focused on refreshing teachers with the Mobile CSP curriculum and providing them with updates on the new CSP framework and exam requirements that take effect during the 2020-21 academic year.

This is a 2-day event will take place on 3 different dates: June 29-30, July 30-31, and August 10-11. The PD will is 8 hours in duration,(4 hours online for 2 days) the times for the selected dates are TBD. The cost is $75.00, there are funds available to support Massachusetts teachers.

STEMforAll Video Showcase

The STEM for ALL Video Showcase will feature over 170 National Science Foundation and other federal agencies' projects surrounding STEM learning and teaching. The theme this year is "Learning from Research and Practice." Videos address improving not only the K-12 STEM classroom but also informal environments, post-secondary education, teacher professional development, and community engagement. Presenters cover a wide range of STEM-related topics during this week-long event. Researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and members of the public are invited to view the short videos, discuss them with the presenters online, and vote for their favorites.

Is a National Science Foundation project that looks to identify and capture barriers in offering AP courses, and provide an alternative for CS using Concurrent Enrollment credit.

Apply to the Infosys Foundation USA Pathfinders Summer Institute

"Calling all K-12 public school teachers to apply to the Infosys Foundation USA’s Pathfinders Summer Institute taking place virtually from July 19-24. This week-long professional development opportunity offers 19 different courses for teachers in computer science and maker education. The cost to attend includes tuition, virtual conference registration costs, and any materials needed to participate in the course. Congressional App Challenge

Student sign-up for the 2020 Congressional App Challenge will open on June 1st, 2020, but students can pre-register for the competition now.
