Supporting One Another

These last few weeks have been crazy to say the least. Dealing with the "new normal" has brought about lots of challenges to businesses and non-profits. During this time, we've seen our community show up for one another like never before which is Awesome! Now that things are beginning to re-open, we hope that trend continues.
We wanted to use this month's newsletter to highlight some of the things going on in the community and with our partners both here and in Haiti.

Helping our friends in Haiti.

As Americans one of the first things we did when news about Covid 19 began to spread was go to the grocery store. We stocked up on food, toilet paper, anything we could get our hands on. Unfortunately, our Haitian friends don't have those same options. The Corona virus is now in Haiti and many are unable to afford extra food and essentials. Many also lack refrigeration and must shop for food daily. For the past 35 years New Missions has been providing meals during the school day for the students. When the schools were ordered to shut down New Missions had to rethink how to get these students their much-needed meals. They have made feeding these students a priority by providing them with a month’s portion of dry food.
New Missions has set up a "Food for Families" campaign for those that want to help get much needed food to these families. You can help by clicking the donate button just below this message.

Food for Families

Goshen Valley Food Drive

We're grateful to have been able to help support our friends over at Goshen over these last few weeks. Goshen has 97 youth eating three meals a day which increased their food costs significantly. Goshen reached out to the community and the community showed up! We wanted to give everyone a chance to be a part of meeting this need buy asking you to donate to Goshen's food budget. A $75 donation will cover the increased costs for one child for a month, and a $250 donation will cover all increased food costs for a day. If you'd like to help support Goshen please click the button below.
