RMT Practice Guidelines

The RMTBC has put together a document of clinical guidelines for safe Registered Massage Therapy practice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please read through carefully, we recommend that members only return to practice once they are fully prepared. The document is available below as well as rmtbc.ca/covid.

PPE for Healthcare Professionals 

On the RMTBC COVID-19 information page, you will find a new section called Return to Practice Information. There you will find a list of PPE suppliers, useful posters and best practice information.

FREE COURSES: The RMTBC is providing two Dr. Collins courses:
1) Critical Thinking for RMTs (3 credits), 2) Professionalism in Registered Massage Therapy (no credits), at no charge to members.
 
FREE MANDATORY COURSE: Make sure you have enough time to invest over 8 weeks to complete the College’s mandatory Boundaries & Consent course free of charge before the end of Cycle 12. Read more.

As a healtcare professional, your patients' identity and information is private and not to be shared. It was brought to our attention that some members are sending email blasts where contact info was left visible to the group.

If you are not familiar with the BCC function, please refrain from sending group emails in order to protect the privacy of your patients.
