SINGERS INVITED TO JOIN PENTECOST VIRTUAL CHOIR Members of the Bishop's Liturgical Commission are creating a Diocesan Virtual Choir for Pentecost, singing “Come Down, O Love Divine”! If you would like to participate, please click here for a form to fill out and submit by Thursday, May 21. We'll send you more information after you register. You will be able to record your video on just about any device and don’t need a special account, app, or password to send it in. Videos will be due by 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 24
You can email me at david@stpauls.org and I will send you printable class notes.
(Notes are not required.)
Your Stewardship Committee is asking parishioners to submit videos of 3 minutes or less in length. We are looking for videos that touch on our theme, "The Privilege of Sharing." Stewardship would welcome other videos that are not necessarily related to the theme, but have a story that wants to be told. Please submit videos by email to the Stewardship Chair, Katrina Miller at KatrinaSMiller@gmail.com. (Videos must be shot in the horizontal position) These videos may be uploaded to the St. Paul's Facebook page, website, or Youtube account and shared with our St. Paul's community, so please note that by submitting a video you are giving St. Paul's permission to use and share on all of our platforms.
WATCH YOUR MAILBOX FOR A NEW CONTACT FORM
Like everyone else, we at St. Paul’s are using our time in quarantine to organize files and update the parish database. This week you will receive a “family” information form via US mail that asks you to complete information for each member of your family. You may return it in the envelope provided or scan and email it to adminsitrator@stpauls.org.
This will be an enormous help as we seek new ways to communicate and stay in touch. Thanks for your help!
Pastor Kay’s “Episcopal 101” class this Sunday, via Zoom at 10:00 a.m.
The challenges presented by our current situation also provide an opportunity - if you were already attending class, it’s resuming; and if you haven’t attended class, but you’re interested in learning more about how and why Episcopalians worship, pray, relate to the Bible, do ethics, and approach the world, you’re in luck! Because we won’t be having a visit from a bishop at the originally-scheduled time, we have the option of continuing this class a while longer.
This is the final meeting of this class. We will be talking about class members’ questions and reviewing how the Anglican approach manifests itself in ethics and social responsibility.
Please join our Zoom call on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. As we have always said at Communion, "no matter who you are, this is for you!"

PRAYERS
A Prayer for Peace I bow to the sacred in all creation.
May my spirit fill the world with beauty and wonder.
May my mind seek truth with humility and openness.
May my heart forgive without limit.
May my love for friend, enemy, and outcast be without measure.
May my needs be few and my living simple.
May my actions bear witness to the suffering of others.
May my hands never harm a living being.
May my steps stay on the journey of justice.
May my tongue speak for those who are poor without fear of the powerful.
May my prayers rise with patient discontent until no child is hungry.
May my life's work be a passion for peace and nonviolence.
May my soul rejoice in the present moment.
May my imagination overcome death and despair with new possibility.
And may I risk reputation, comfort, and security to bring this hope to the children. - Mary Lou Kownacki, OSB
Lightening the Load The first thing we have to do
is to notice
that we’ve loaded down this camel
with so much baggage
we’ll never get through the desert alive.
Something has to go.
Then we can begin to dump
the thousand things
we’ve brought along
until even the camel has to go
and we’re walking barefoot
on the desert sand.
There’s no telling what will happen then.
But I’ve heard that someone,
walking in this way,
has seen a burning bush. - Francis Dorff, O. Praem
This week, we remember those among us who suffer the pain of illness, fear, or loss especially; Sue, Sylvia, Royce, Doriel, June, Holland, Fred, Mary, Sally, Kathy, James, Emily, Sue, Colleen, Bob, Susan, Helen, Patti, Don, Jim, and Jean.
We remember all healthcare and emergency workers, those who have lost their livelihood, those who are ill, those who are alone, and those who are afraid. Give them courage and strength during the days ahead, may they know
your love and grace. Amen
