Of course, Youth Leaders will look a bit different as we take measures to keep everyone safe and to follow CDC guidelines.  After surveying the entire group of applicants about their willingness and desire to participate, we have moved both sessions to the month of July. Winter Park marketing agency Findsome & Winmore today announced the launch of the32789, a hyperlocal online news outlet dedicated to reporting community news in Winter Park.

the32789 is a digital-only outlet that will reach readers regularly on the web, via e-mail and through social media. The stated mission of the32789 is “to keep citizens informed and aware concerning the latest happenings in and around the City of Winter Park.”

the32789 will cover news in the following categories:
-    General News
-    Business

-    People (human interest)

“We view the32789 as resource that will meet a critical need in Winter Park,” said Matt Certo, CEO of Findsome & Winmore and publisher of the32789. “We will complement, rather than rival other local news outlets, and report news that is relevant and important to the residents and patrons of Winter Park. The platform’s values of truth, storytelling and diversity of opinion will inform our reporting. The vibrant color palette and identifiable mark were inspired by the iconic natural, architectural, and cultural elements of Winter Park.”

the32789 will be welcoming sponsors and advertisers in the near future. Those interested in these opportunities can contact advertising@the32789.com. Readers can also find the32789 on social media by following the handle @the32789 on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

“While the idea for the32789 was formed long before the pandemic, the timing of the launch is coming at an important time, as those in our community are looking – more than ever – to connect with the people, places, and events around them,” said Certo.

Story ideas and pitches can be sent to news@the32789.com.

Lane Technology Solutions Helping Businesses Survive the Pandemic

Stephanie Biddle - Content Manager
The COVID-19 pandemic has made IT an indispensable part of the equation for working remotely and staying in business. According to Kate Lane, Vice President and COO at Lane Technology Solutions, “IT is needed now more than ever.” Whether employees are working from home or companies need technology solutions to cut costs, Lane Technology has been busy providing solutions for many complications of the pandemic.

“When the pandemic hit, for the safety of our employees, we were able to quickly switch over and work from home. And most of our clients had been set up with the capabilities to do that also,” says Lane. One client, a local franchise restaurant, was not, and they called Lane Technology to ask what they could do with an entire marketing team that was sidelined with nothing to do. Lane Technology helped turn them into a call center to take online orders for curbside pickup that serviced all of the restaurants’ locations. “We provided the infrastructure to get them set up, keep staff employed and generate income,” says Lane.
