Cel-e-brate Good Times!
Are you singing?
Are you dancing?
No? Oh... me either.

To be fair, there's been very little to celebrate since the beginning of this year. Except for what is happening now; in this moment I have two things to celebrate:

1. This is the final week of homeschooling!!
2. My birthday is Thursday.

I feel the need to reiterate that THIS. IS. THE. FINAL. WEEK. OF. HOMESCHOOLING. Are you taking that journey with me? Did you put your wine* glass down and release the tension in your shoulders? Have you closed your eyes and breathed a sigh of relief whilst enjoying a moment of quiet? No? Me either. Because I'm still teaching this week. But this is what we have to look forward to!

*NOTE: I have not been homeschool drinking, no matter how much I wanted to.

And also, it's my birthday! I know a lot of people celebrate their birth month or week. But I'm too old and tired for that. I'm going to be 39 going on 99. I crochet and cross stitch and literally tell kids to get off my lawn. Mostly because they litter in it. How hard is it to throw your trash in the bin? Come on!

I am the grumpy old man in the creepy house down the street who only talks to his 1,000 animals on his front porch with a rotting pumpkin and whistling leaves blowing from nowhere.

I accept this.
I celebrate this!

Just a little microphone logo design for one of my long-time clients, Kelley Buttrick of KB Voiceovers.
Homeschool/Work Schedule
This is the last week I'll be using this headline for my schedule. Next up will be randomly missed days for at-home summer activities because we are still social distancing.

Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Thursday: OFF - It's my birthday!

Monday* & Friday*: 1:00pm - 6:00pm

( * 9:00am - 12:00pm - I will be available for online work and website updates ONLY. I am not homeschooling in my home these days and have limited access to files and materials.)

On A Personal Note...

I've learned a few things about myself over the years:
  1. I don't change much. At least that I recognize. I do hope that whatever change occurs that it's positive.
  2. I prefer having a few wonderful friends over a great many acquaintances.
  3. I want all the animals. All of them.
  4. Savory is better than sweet.
  5. Cartoons and coloring and blowing bubbles makes me feel better about most things.
  6. I still don't know anything about anything.
  7. I still need my mommy.
  8. If it looks like it belongs to a 6 year old girl who loves death metal, it's probably mine - or will be.
  9. I don't care what people think of how I look, how I act, or who I am; I like me and I'm okay with that!
  10. I'm not at all afraid of 40.
