Welcome to the Hearts On Fiber Newsletter
If you are new to our weekly newsletters, here is some information about us. We have added all our past newsletters to our blog just in case you deleted it by accident, like dropping a stitch but much easier to pick up.

When quarantine started, we raced around pivoting our business model so we could still sell products and offer services for our customers. There was a part of me that was relieved. I could take a break. I could get organized. I could get ahead a bit. I could paint the bathroom.

In reality there was so much change at once, that we were busy trying to figure out a new normal. We figured out curbside pick up, and shipping, and website changes. We flaked out and made messes, walked around because we forgot what we were doing, and saw something shiny and wanted to do that. (Lily and I are similar that way, it's very dangerous.)

We spent weeks and weeks, not giving ourselves a break and not being creative. Then last Saturday, I was done. We had to do something fun.

So on Day 419 of March, we decided to drop everything clear out the dye station and squirt dye on the wall. It's amazing how far up the wall a squirt bottle will go. We laughed, we had fun, we made a big mess. It was good.

From this day forward, the wall will be known as Covid-19 Artwall. The video is below! (the music is loud, so adjust the volume because it might scare you.)

I hope you do something fun, something creative, something out of your comfort zone.  It doesn't take a long time. It will be hard to convince yourself that you can do it, but it is worth it.

WEEK OF OPENING

We were so happy to see some friends that we haven't seen in a long time. It's a bit tricky to see who people are with masks, but we are grateful that you wear them and happy to see you.

Lily and I talked about the go-forward strategy, and we came up with zilch. So we are going to take it week by week.

We will keep our new hours for the next few weeks.

Monday 12 - 4
Tuesday through Saturday 11 - 4

We do know that if anyone in our family tests positive for Covid-19, we will close down our physical store immediately and move to online ordering and curbside pickup. Whoever is symptom-free will fill orders with a lot of precautions.

Please wear a mask to protect us, and we will wear a mask to protect you. Together we got this!

Hug Shot Shawl

In recognition of Pet Appreciation week (June 1-7) and Hug Your Cat Day (June 4). Casapinka is helping us out once again with a free shawl pattern if you purchase your yarn from us.

The pattern will be released on Ravelry, Friday, June 5, and the codes will be sent from us in an email. Codes are redeemable from June 5 (12:01 EST -midnight June 7 PST.)

We have some kits available to preorder now if you like. We don't have all the pictures taken yet, and we will be adding other colorways.

Here are some sample colorways:

MEMORIAL DAY

We will be closed Monday, May 25th, to celebrate and honor Memorial Day. We hope to see you Tuesday!
