Provider Reopening Guidance
As Governor Cuomo begins to lift restrictions by reopening NYS, service providers, Fiscal Intermediaries, Care Coordination Organizations (CCOs), and people and their families have been planning for a safe reopening of the OPWDD service delivery system.

Through COVID-19 online meetings with key stakeholders, a draft guidance document for the reopening of the OPWDD service system has been created.   A key component of the plan requires addressing

"How do we take the best practices in service delivery that we are learning as a result of this public health emergency and incorporate those practices into models that will best meet people's needs in the 'new normal' post COVID-19"?

The proposed guidance document is informed by data and experiences reported by service providers, CCOs, advocates, people and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
