Alone Together: Weekly Check In

An open online support group where survivors can connect and discuss how they are coping with social (or physical) distancing. We will discuss resources and tools that may be useful during this time. Join us one Friday or every Friday!
Family Court Peer Support
Date: 1st & 3rd Tuesdays (monthly)
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 p.m.
This free, ongoing group is open to woman-identified individuals that have experienced abuse, control or violence in their relationship and/or family and who are at the beginning, middle, or end of their journey through the Family Court System. LGTBQ+ Survivors Support Space

An open group for survivors of sexual violence in the LGBTQ+ community to connect and share coping strategies. This group will be facilitated by counsellors who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and is in partnership with Spectrum.
Supporters of Survivors Meet-Up

Join us in a safer space to connect with other supporters and explore strategies to support the survivor(s) in your life. Facilitators from our Male Allies and Counselling program will be present to share information and answer questions.

Healthy Boundaries (2 Part Workshop)
Date: Thursdays, May 21st and 28th, 2020
Time: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Using interactive exercises and discussion, participants will explore how to empower themselves to set healthy boundaries and be assertive in their relationships with others.
Healthy Relationships (2 Part Workshop)
Date: Mondays, June 1 and June 8, 2020
Time: 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Building and maintaining healthy relationships after trauma can be difficult, and physical distancing adds unique challenges to our relationships. In this workshop, we will discuss the impact of trauma on relationships, signs that a relationship is healthy/unhealthy, and tools and tips for healthy communication with the people in our lives.
Healing and Anger: What’s rage got to do with it
Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2020
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Survivors may have complex relationships with anger. This workshop will explore the functions of anger, different ways we experience and express it, and how anger can be a useful emotion in the healing process.

Neurobiology of Trauma
Date: Wednesday, June 24th, 2020
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
This workshop will explore the complex and powerful responses the brain has during traumatic events, the relationship between trauma and memory, and how we come to process and heal trauma in the mind and in the body. By the end of this workshop we hope you will grain a deepened understanding of neurobiology as it relates to trauma, survival, and growth.
Honouring our Emotions
Date: Tuesdays, June 16th – July 21st, 2020

An open workshop series where we will explore different emotions each week. We will discuss how to accept and process strong emotions in a way that is useful for healing.
