Voting for the NCHIMA South Region Board will run from May 26-June 1. This year there will be a special election for the President’s position for a 2-year term. The President Elect serves a 3-year term starting as President- Elect, then President, and finally Past President. Secretary is a one-year term and Treasurer is 2 years.
We have updated the bylaws and the policy and procedure manual so there are rules to guide you.
The short version of responsibilities is as follows:
- The President Elect position is to assist the President and learn the ropes for the next position.
- The Past President is like an executive director and offers their expertise and guidance to the President.
- The President leads the group in completing its mission.
- The Secretary keeps records and is responsible for the maintenance of region documentation.
- The Treasurer controls the finances.
