A Message From the SA Conference Office
UPDATE ON WORSHIP SERVICES IN LIGHT OF THE EASING OF COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS
You would be aware that as of May 11, the SA Government has begun to relax some of the restrictions imposed due to COVID 19. Some of these restrictions relate to churches and worship services. According to the Government directives, as of 11 May 2020, places of worship are allowed to open to the public, for religious gatherings, provided that the number of congregants is restricted to 10 attendees and that there be a distancing of 1 person per 4 square metres. What this means, is that potentially some church events may be able to resume.

Click here to download the Step 1 fact sheet from the SA Government which outlines the current guidelines for places of worship. For information how this relates to your local church, please contact your church pastor.

We would invite you to continue to pray for God’s hand to guide our church, our nation and this planet during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Pray that people will be more receptive to the gospel and that we will be prepared and ready to share.

Yours in Jesus

South Australian Conference Officers

Australia Wide Online Evangelistic Campaign
What is it? In collaboration with local conferences, the Australian Union Conference, AMN and the SPD we will be facilitating a 3-part full-message virtual evangelistic series. This series will share the message of hope in Jesus and is designed to provide hopefully spiritual insights to the current global climate of fear and suffering.

STAGE 1 has concluded but is available to view on the Hope Channel website.

STAGE 2:  with John Bradshaw
When: May 15 until June 15 with 20 presentations over 4 weeks, Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and
Wednesday.
What: A full message evangelistic series presented by John Bradshaw. The series of presentations will be introduced and concluded by Gary Webster and viewers will be encouraged to sign up for their local Zoom Masterclass.
How: Online via the Revelation Today platform which enables guests to fill out decision cards and make prayer requests. Each session will be available on-demand after it is released.

STAGE 3: ZOOM Masterclasses: Secrets of Prophecy
When: June 19 onwards
What: Viewers who sign up for the masterclass will be grouped by postcode and connected into a zoom meeting run by local Church pastors using the Secrets of Prophecy material.
How: Each week the guides will be emailed out and participants will join the ZOOM Meeting to discuss with the pastor.

Who follows up guests?
Registered guests will be assigned to local churches and conferences based on their location. Your church and your local church Virtual Bible Workers will follow up guests in your area.

What is your role?
Each church has the opportunity to do their own follow-up. There is online training for members to become Virtual Bible Workers. They will be equipped to connect and follow-up with their assigned guests.

How will it be advertised?
Advertising will be managed centrally and will used targeted social media and online advertising to get maximum reach and registrations.

Friday Night Live Temporarily on Saturday Afternoons
'Friday Night Live' with Colin and Dru is a brand new program which recently started on Friday 1st May . However due to the online evangelistic program  'Hope Awakening' with John Bradshaw (15th May - 13th June), 'Friday Night Live' will need to move to a different timeslot - Saturday afternoons at 4:30pm.  This change from Friday night to Saturday afternoon is only temporary while the online evangelistic programs are occurring. After this, the program will revert back to a Friday night. As always there will be news from the Conference and our local churches and a musical item from some of our talented South Australian church members, so you wont want to miss it. We really hope you can join us. Please share this with your family and friends.
Wednesday Evening Meetings - Secrets of Prophecy Seminar
Now that we are able to meet in small groups of 10 or less Jan will be conducting the follow up urogram on the Pr Batchelor’s Series, The Secrets of Prophecy both in person or as he has been doing, via Zoom. They are held on Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Seminar room. Seating will be implemented following the government directives with regard to COVID-19. All are welcome to take part.
100 Days of Prayer
The General Conference is promoting 100 Days of Prayer for the world church and its mission. You can sign up to receive a daily email and reading on a specific topic. eg today is Day 47 and the topic is on the Faith of Jesus.
Trinity Tithes & Offerings.
The Treasurer is very impressed with how many Trinity members have continued or commenced returning their tithes by e-giving, BPay, or EFT transfer. Our Tithe giving has been very faithful. However, we are very low in our offerings for Local Ministries and Special Projects (less than half of our budgeted amount) Although the premisis are not being used as before we still have on going expenses that need to be met.
This week and next week the focus for our offerings are specifically for these areas. Thankyou for your faithfulness.
How to Return Your Tithes and Offerings
We want to thank you for your ongoing faithfulness in the return of tithes and the giving of offerings. Even though church facilities are closed there are still a variety of ways in which you can continue to give:
  • Use e-giving. (Click here to give directly to Trinity Gardens Seventh-day Adventist Church)
  • If e-giving is not something that you are comfortable doing, you can simply call the Conference office on 8269 2177. Speak to Jacqui, Lindy or Robyn and they can process your credit card for tithes and all offerings.
  • EFT transfer to the conference bank account and we will send your donations to your local church:
    • Account Name: Seventh-day Adventist Church
    • BSB: 035-050
    • Account Number: 172978
    • Reference: (e.g. TRI SAB SMITH)
      • First three letters of your church (TRI)
      • First three letters of donation (SAB) = Sabbath School
      • Your Surname (SMITH) = Surname
Sabbath School Lessons and Adventist Record
Did you know that you can view the Record electronically? Current and past editions of the Record are freely available.
Likewise you are able to view and print this quarter's Sabbath School Lessons titled 'How to Interpret Scripture'. All editions are available.
New Look ADRA Community Pantry
The ADRA Community Pantry has temporarily relocated to our church hall. This is to cater for a larger groups of people that have been attending the Pantry looking for goods to help them get through each week. We are looking for fresh produce for the pantry & good quality clothing and footwear that we are able to sell in the ADRA op-shop. If you have any please drop off to the pantry on a Thursday or contact Jan. The Pantry is currently still opening between 10:30 and 1:30 on Thursdays. Jan, Maxine & Robert would love for more helpers. If you are able to help please contact Jan.
The Seminar room will be open at this time so you be able to collect your copy of the 'Record' and other communications from your pigeon hole.
Trinity Gardens' Digital Church and Sabbath School
Due to the special  #weRtheCHURCH online worship event organised by the South Pacific Division, there will be NO local Zoom Sabbath Schools or Livestream Church services held in South Australia this week. We will be back next week!

10:30 am: Join us for Sabbath School
11:00 am: Worship together during the Church Service

Many of our members and a visitor or two, have regularly enjoyed Sabbath School via Zoom. This week Jan will be hosting our lesson. We would love for you to join us. Click on the link below.

Pr Jan and others will continue to hold these Weekly Sabbath Schools on Saturdays at 10:30am, through Zoom. If you already use Zoom, you can enter the meeting ID: 586 598 272. If not, visit: go.trinitygardens.church/zoom

It works for Macs, PCs and smartphones and tablets with an internet connection. Visiting this link on your device will download the application and connect you so we can meet online. Jan realises that not everyone would like their face visible, and that’s okay! You can mute the camera and microphone just to watch, or turn off the camera so you can just speak but not be visible. If you don't have a microphone on your computer, you can still connect to Zoom then call from a phone. This will be a wonderful platform so we can connect virtually.

Additionally, after Sabbath School we can tune in to the conference’s live church service together at live.trinitygardens.church. On this site, we can live chat as a church community, before, after and during the service.

You can find all this at trinitygardens.church under the “Digital Services” page.
Membership Transfers
Recently the members of the Trinity Gardens Church board had a Zoom meeting. We have a request for two membership transfers.
  • Ruthie Baravula - from Suva South English SDA Church, Fiji.
  • Hwiseong (Robert) Oh - Gwanglin SDA Church, Seoul, South Korea
The Board has accepted but would like to bring this to the Church Body for approval. If you are opposed to either of these individuals becoming members please contact Jan ASAP. We will formally accept these folk into our family when we return to regular church services.
GLOW Tracts for Distribution
Trinity Gardens Church has just received a supply of GLOW (Go Light Our World) tracts that are designed specifically for sharing now.  'Coronavirus Versus Your Immune System' is a easy resource to share with your family & friends. They can also be distributed by letter boxing in your neighbourhood while exercising. We would ask that distributors wear gloves if letterboxing. There is also an electronic version of Coronavirus Versus Your Immune System.  enabling you to share this tract electronically if you are unable to go out. We have approximately 500 hard copies left to hand out so please let Jan know how many copies you would like and he will deliver them to you.
