In times like these we need agility. How can churches, presbyteries, and networks recruit and develop new church planters? How can those interested in church planting discern their next steps? With travel limited, conferences canceled, and budgets constrained we need alternatives.
In this Conversation you will hear from The New England Church Planting Network who has retooled their summer internship from an in-person to an on-line 8-week event opportunity. This program offers:
- Cohort Meetings
- Community Exegesis Project
- Intercultural Development Inventory
- Individual Coaching
- Hearing from Pastors and about Ministry Opportunities
Our other panelist is Ted Powers, Director of The Midwest Alliance who in conjunction with NXTGEN Pastors (whose director is the host of this webcast) will provide virtual and in some places, hybrid internships. This internship program consists of two primary components.
- Training includes modules in church planting, interviews with current church planters and NXTGEN modules.
- Practicum involves being paired with a current church plant/planter in the Midwest in which they will observe gatherings, do research and plan outreach activities.
The audience will have opportunities to ask questions of our panelists through Zoom's Q&A Forum.
