The Census count has been extended and continues through October 31, 2020. But don’t wait — the east side of our Marcy-Holmes neighborhood is falling behind - read on to learn what you can do!
Does it really matter? YES!
It’s about $15 billion in public funding is allocated across Minnesota using Census information. An undercount would mean our community does not get its full share for the next 10 years.
It’s about fair representation: The 2020 Census will also determine Minnesota’s Congressional representation. Minnesota faces significant risk of losing our 8th Congressional seat but this is not a foregone conclusion and an accurate count could help us keep all eight seats.

LATEST CENSUS 2020 UPDATES FOR STUDENTS:
If Marcy-Holmes is your usual residence, you should be counted in Marcy-Holmes! Unexpected move due to COVID-19?
College students who live away from home should be counted at the on- or off-campus residence where they live and sleep most of the time, even if they are somewhere else on April 1, 2020.
Already counted back at home? No problem -- you should still complete the Census correctly using your on- or off-campus address where you would have been living if not for COVID-19, and the Census has a process to “de-duplicate” double counts.
Live in a dorm? You are covered. You will be counted by University student housing.
