Congrats Seniors!!

• The final day to pick up your cap and gown at the school will be TOMORROW Monday, May 18 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. You must come to the front door of the main office. Seniors who owe money or miss this day, will have to contact Herff-Jones directly.​
• A Virtual Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 27. More details to come!
• Our district will host virtual graduations with a celebratory drive-through diploma pick up. The date that our graduation will be aired is Friday, June 12 at 8:00 am. Our diploma pick up is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13. We will have a staggered schedule throughout the day. More information on exact times will be communicated soon. 

General Meeting May 20

The North Meck PTSA is pleased to announce the Slate of Nominees for Officers for the 2020-2021 term. The Nominating Committee will present the Slate of Nominees to members at a General Meeting via Virtual Board meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 7:00 pm.  Please email nmhsptsa@gmail.com for virtual meeting link and passcode.  All are welcome to participate.

ROTC Awarded

Congratulations goes to the Air Force ROTC for earning the Distinguished Unit Award with Merit. This was awarded to only 79 units across the nation for student accomplishments and instructor quality. To the entire North Mecklenburg ROTC unit and community- we salute you!  

Athletic Booster Club

Officer Nominations for 2020-2021 North Meck Athletic Booster Club

The North Meck Athletic Booster Club is accepting officer nominations for the following roles on the 2020-2021 executive board:

President
Vice president
Secretary
Treasurer

A detailed description of the responsibilities for each role is listed on the CMS Athletic Zone website. Locate and select North Mecklenburg High School, then select the Athletic Booster Club link and scroll down to locate the "NM Booster By-Laws".

If you are interested in serving as an officer in one of the above roles, or if you would like to nominate someone, please send an email to nmathleticbc@gmail.com on or before May 31, 2020. Be sure to indicate the role and any experience you would like to share.

The North Meck Athletic Booster Club is a 501c3 organization that relies on volunteers to provide needed support for the North Meck athletic program. Booster club activities make it possible to try and assist with various requests and needs for all of our athletic teams and facilities.

Serving on the board does not require an extensive amount of time, and the executive board is supported by general board members. Anyone who is a member or supporter of the North Mecklenburg High School community is welcome to join the North Meck Athletic Booster Club. You do not have to have a student-athlete in order to join and volunteer with the booster club.

2021 Study Abroad

There will be an online interest meeting for the study abroad summer 2021 trip on Thursday, May 28 at 5:30 pm. We understand that we are in uncertain times when it come to travel, but we want to see the interest level, to determine if we need to push it back. If you are interested in your student doing study abroad, please RSVP to the meeting, and/or join the meeting on May 28. Cafeteria Money

Parents of students leaving CMS have up to 90 days to request a refund of money on account or have it transferred to another CMS student. Amounts less than $5 will be transferred, upon request, to another CMS student account but not refunded. Contact the School Nutrition Services office at (980) 343-6041 to request a refund or transfer of money on account.  Having your child's student ID number helps, but is not required (just full name).

Census 2020

Make sure you are counted!  The US Census can be filled out quickly online, and is anonymous.  https://my2020census.gov/

North Facilities Closed

CMS parking lots are closed for vehicle parking and playgrounds and school properties are closed to all citizens, unless related to grab and go meal distribution or student instructional materials or devices. The mandatory order includes no pets allowed on school properties and playgrounds.

Senior Reminders:

• Please report ALL scholarship offers HERE. This includes both academic and athletic scholarships.
• Keep checking your email regularly. We will be contacting you about a Senior Exit Survey that MUST be completed.
• Final transcripts will NOT be ready until the end of the school year.
