Two Days Left to Submit for NP Forum & Work in Progress!

2020 Deadlines:

20 May 2020: Projects for Nordisk Panorama Forum
20 May 2020: Projects for Work in Progress

Nordisk Panorama is in full swing planning our upcoming activities and we will be there to support filmmakers in September one way or another.

There are two days left to submit projects for Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries and Work in Progress. Hopefully we will meet in person in Malmö, but if not we will bring you a great experience virtually.

Nordisk Panorama Forum is the main funding event for the Nordic documentary community and has been a vital part of Nordisk Panorama since 1994.

It takes place Sunday-Tuesday 20-22 September and welcomes independent documentary projects in all stages from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Åland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Up to 24 projects will be selected for public pitching Monday and Tuesday. Producers looking for meetings with decision-makers can also apply with a project as observer+. A maximum of 24 observer+ projects will be selected. Individual meetings between selected projects and decision-makers will be scheduled by the forum team and take place in the afternoons.

Check out the NP Forum guidelines for more information on how to apply with a project.

Work in Progress is part of Nordisk Panorama Market. It presents 6 nearly finished documentary projects, almost ready to make it onto the world stage.

The projects are presented to international and Nordic decision makers in a tailor made event, created to make sure that each project benefits the most from the presentation. The presentations are followed by consecutive one-to-one meetings in the afternoon.

The Work in Progress presentations follow up on former Nordisk Panorama Forum pitches and pitches at fora around the world. All projects presented are looking for a last push to be finalized, a sales agent/distributor or festival premiere.

Check out the Work in Progress guidelines for more information on how to apply with a project.

Applications for Nordisk Panorama Forum and Work in Progress are submitted through the same application form.
Projects fitting the eligibility criteria are welcome to apply to both Nordisk Panorama Forum and Work in Progress.

Producers Meet Producers
Nordisk Panorama Forum will kick off with the popular networking event Producers Meet Producers Sunday 20 September, featuring snappy presentations, tailored match-making and round table discussions. The event aims to facilitate the efforts to find suitable co-production partners and form the bonds necessary to access funds across borders.

Baltic Delegation
At Producers Meet Producers you’ll get the chance to meet this year’s specially invited Baltic delegation arranged in co-operation with Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries. The delegation is here to meet their Nordic colleagues and they will present themselves and outline their production landscape during Sunday.

We look forward to seeing you in September! Hopefully in person, but if not - then through a new online experience.
