Sharing data: Towards a data commons

The third dialogue in the series will address the benefits and risks of data sharing/not sharing, as well as best practices. We will discuss where international organisations, governments, and businesses stand on data sharing; the challenges that stand in the way of data sharing and how they can be addressed; how to encourage public and private actors to follow open data policies; and more.
As at previous dialogues, participants will discuss concrete proposals to be presented at the UN World Data Forum (WDF), and will consider Geneva's role when it comes to data protection.
