Dear all;
I wanted to get a message to you concerning (2) CPAP machines I have acquired.
These would be used for air supply into someone’s wood working area.
I use an old one with a ten foot hose and mask I purchased from Amazon.com.
It supplies filtered air to me while I am sanding or spraying some lacquer or other naughty smelling substance. You can cut a small HEPA filter from a HEPA vacuum bag and you’d have a century’s supply of filters from the rest of that bag. Mostly, one of these CPAP machines is for the dust or fumes that may not have been picked up by a vacuum system.
I have used mine for 8+ years and really appreciate it. A person who currently uses a CPAP machine would have no problem at all using this system. In fact, until my new mask arrived from Amazon, I just used my mask from my other CPAP unit.
So since I have come across these two older systems I thought if anyone was interested, but didn’t want to spend the $300 for a used CPAP, I would like to given two deserving people one each of these. You would want to buy a mask because using someone else’s mask, to me would be a little weird, but if they are not bugged by that idea and just use some nice mild dish soap and wash the old mask out, well there you are.
The actual CPAP machine is in no way connected to a previous user, so that should not pose any problem hygienically. Both of these units were in disuse and bagged up WAY before this COVID-19 thing…I mean years ago and like I said, a little mild soap and warm water would clean up any dust or germs that might be present.
So, do me and two other unknown woodworkers a favor and forward this information to any prospective users. They can actually come to my house and pick up one of the units. The first person who comes can, if they want to, take both units but they can at least go through the other items I have like hoses and filters.
If you are interested, let me know. I am not using these because I already have one, but knowing how they work, I would not be adverse to using one myself.

If no one wants one of these in a few weeks, I’ll just toss them into the recycling bin.
I looked on AMAZON and found many many masks. You would want a LARGE Full Face…similar to this one
