COILHALLAN WOOD UPDATE: ASSET TRANSFER APPLICATION APPROVED

CCDT has heard from FLS (Forestry and Land Scotland) that they have
approved the asset transfer for Colihallan Wood.
The decision notice will be posted on their website
(www.forestryandlandgov.scot/CATS) and will also be posted on the CCDT
website on Monday.

The next step is for CCDT to submit a formal offer for the purchase of
Coilhallan Wood by 22 October 2020 based on the updated valuation.
This purchase would be funded by the Scottish Land Fund (SLF).

CCDT is very grateful to the original and current volunteer members of
CCWG for their time spent on discussing and feeding in to the
application, bringing in their wide and varied areas of expertise, and
above all to Chip Lima for revising the Management Plan at incredible
speed in re- action to the initial doubts voiced by FLS.

CCDT looks forward to moving on to the next stage before October and
working across the community.
