Dear Graduates,
Years of hard work and intense study have brought you to this point. You have overcome many challenges, including the unprecedented disruption this semester. We know this was not the way you envisioned the final weeks of your undergraduate career, but we hope you take the time to celebrate yourselves and all you have accomplished. Congratulations from our entire department!
As students of Government and Politics, you have gained the knowledge and developed the skills and expertise to make a difference in a world where many have yet to enjoy the promise of the 21st century. When wars still rage and children live in poverty, work remains to be done. Having received the very best education and training, get out there and “be the solution.”
We are very proud of you, just like the friends and family who have supported you and helped make this achievement possible. Please stay in touch. We can’t wait to see what great things you will do next.
-Dr. David Cunningham
Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies

Deadline to Change Grading Method - TODAY!
Today, May 12th, is the last day to change your grading method for Spring 2020 courses. All undergraduate courses in Spring 2020 defaulted to the pass/fail grading method. The minimum grade requirements for major, concentration, Academic Writing, General Education and benchmark courses, as well as Limited Enrollment Programs Gateway courses, will be satisfied by a mark of P for the Spring 2020 semester.
Should your wish instead to receive the regular letter grades for your courses, you will be given the opportunity, by the last day of classes (May 12), to select the regular grading method for any or all of your classes. A new website has been created for this purpose. No changes have been made to the university’s grading policies for students who opt for their courses to be graded in the regular grading method.
